Happy Sunday, family and friends!  Thank you for stopping at this webpage to see what’s happening with the Revolution Church family!

This morning’s worship songs were “Happy Song”, “Forever”, “Blessed Assurance”, “Raise a Hallelujah”, and “How Great Is Our God”.  Pastor Billy has begun a new June series called “To Bee or Not to Bee” and today’s message was called “Don’t Worry Be Happy”. Text was Matthew 6:25-34. Go to the main menu and click WATCH late Sunday evening to view today’s preaching and past messages.

Summer volunteers are needed to help out once a month in kids’ ministry to give our regular volunteers a bit of a break so they can sit in on preaching services, too.  That’s fair and reasonable to ask. If you are willing to step up and help your church, please mark your connection card or sign up at the Connection Table. It will be FUN! All people who call this place “home” should find a way to help and serve this body. There are ample opportunities, so surely there is a good fit for each of us in some area.  Thank you to those already busy helping!

First Adult Connection meal of the season was Friday at the Knotts’ home.  Thanks to all who brought food to share alongside the burgers and dogs.  Next Adult Connection is at Phil and Michelle Grifford’s Manhattan home for a potluck meal and  (optional) pool party on Saturday, July 10, 1 pm. Sign up at the Connection Table.

Men’s Quarterly Breakfast was yesterday with a good attendance.  Thank you to those who provided the food. Pastor Bob gave the devotional.

The next men’s Donuts and Devotional is Saturday, July 10 at 8 a.m. at the church.  This is free!  Just sign up so they know how many donuts to buy.

Pastor Billy’s online study is Tuesdays at 6:30 pm on his Face Book page.  After a YEAR of classes, he just finished the Book of Acts. Next Tuesday he will go over his vision for his summer study, so tune in to hear what to expect in the coming weeks.  His “Worship Wednesday” videos are live at noon on Facebook, too. Tune in to hear a brief devotion and praise music. This week he played “You Never Let Go”.

Pastor Julian’s Thursday 6:30 pm online Bible study is on his Face Book page.  “Among Friends” features a different topic each week with Julian and various friends. Thursday was our own Dr. Mishel Rych speaking about renewing the mind and body with rest.  Next week’s show is cancelled since the Sandovals will be traveling.

Ladies, you are invited to a book club here at the church! Penny Knott will be hosting the group beginning July 7, 6 pm.  The book is “The Prayer Box” by Lisa Wingate.  Sign up at the Connection Table.

Pastor Bob will resume Foundations Class before service on Sunday, July 18 at 9:15 am.  This study teaches the basics of Christianity and why we believe what we do.  Sign up at the Connection Table.  Space is limited.

Summer Church Picnic is after service on Sunday, August 8 at Manhattan Central Park. Mark your calendar now.  Sign up sheets for food will be provided closer to the date.

Happy 87th Birthday to Durk Lee! Jan Golden and Judy Christensen both have birthdays this week!

Leslie Graniczny had a successful knee surgery this past week.  We pray for a full and speedy recovery and that her discomfort will soon ease.

Deepest sympathies are extended to Pastor Bob and Heather’s family.  His mother, Delores Smith, was put into hospice care last week and passed away Friday. This couple has lost three parents within a few months. Arrangements for Mrs. Smith are undecided at time of this posting.

Larry DeSando was kind enough to purchase us four handicapped parking signs to make church a little easier for those of us needing a bit of help parking and walking inside.  Please be mindful and only park in those spaces if you truly need one.

Some of our families are enjoying vacations this weekend, so they will be back with us soon.  Weather permitting, Bruce Smit will have one or two antique vehicles on site for photo ops and free rides after service on the 20th.  Sounds fun! See you all back next week for Father’s Day service.

Welcome back, friends!  Here’s what is happening on this monsoon of a Sunday…

Today is Mother’s Day, and we remembered and honored our grandmas, moms, stepmoms, foster moms, adoptive moms and “like-a-moms” both living and waiting in Heaven. Each lady was gifted a long stem red rose at the door from Deacon Larry. He provided extras for us to take and share with others who needed some TLC today. Some families shared emery boards, other passed out note pads, pencils, river rocks, and balloons so that we all left feeling blessed and loved.

This morning’s worship songs were “Your Grace is Enough”, “Come As You Are”, “Open the Eyes of My Heart”, “The Blessing”, and “We All Need Jesus”. She says Samantha is coming from England in May, and we are eager to see her again.

April 4, 2021:

Happy Easter! Rejoice and be glad!

Welcome to all of our visitors on this high holy holiday! We are so pleased you joined us for worship.

Standing ovation to Judy Fash for adorning the outside flower pots, the cross, and the sanctuary so festively! Her handcrafted tomb display on the baptismal tank was outstanding!  If you missed it today, please stop by next week to admire it.  Many were seen snapping photos of it!

Worship songs were “Happy Day”, “Up From the Grave He Arose”, “Living Hope”, “Hallelujah For the Cross”, Because He Lives”, and “Christ the Lord is Risen Today”.  Today Pastor Billy began a new series, “Cancelled” with a message called “Cancelled Debt”  featuring a surprise appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. Text was Genesis 3:1-13 and Matthew 28:1-10.  Go to the main menu and click WATCH late Sunday evening to view our preaching service and past messages.

Did you get a chance to peek into the kids’ church today?  They had their space all decorated for a whoop-ti-do to celebrate Resurrection Sunday, too!

Thank you to all who joined us for Good Friday evening Communion service. It was precious and sacred with candles, crucifixion video, beautiful music, scripture, and nailing our sins to the cross. Songs were “Above All”, “How Deep the Father’s Love For Us”, and “Were You There”. Much appreciation to all the helpers.

Because of Easter, we did NOT bring items for food pantry today. We will do that NEXT WEEK. Remember, from now on, we are asked to double bag all items to avoid bag rips.

Saturday, April 10 is Men’s Donuts and Devotional at the church.  It starts at 8 a.m. and should be done in about an hour.  Coffee and donuts are free.  Hope to see a room full!

Thumbs up to all the good folks who helped write encouraging words to all of our inmates in Graybars Project, and thanks to Sandy Chambers for donating all the cards.  We have received several grateful responses from men and women behind bars. Everybody likes to feel cared for and remembered.

We are glad to hear that Darren Rych’s hand surgery went well Wednesday.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Sending out healing wishes to Lakeda Vaughn all they way down in Texas. She is in the process of moving and will provide a new mailing address soon.

Thank you to the Smits for sharing all the bags of cranberry sauce.  That should go well with all the turkey and ham being eaten today.

We hope to see all of you back for service next week.  You are loved here. Thank you for all you do! Enjoy your  sunny holiday weekend!

Hello, everybody!  Thanks for checking out this page on Palm Sunday 2021. Here’s what’s going on this first day of Holy Week at our church:

Our attendance is really picking up again, so you are going to need to come a bit early as seats are now filling up fast!  It was wonderful to see visitors and to see Kathy Felchlin and Inez  walk in after months of absence!

Worship songs were “Enough”, “Hosanna”, “Jesus Messiah”, “Old Rugged Cross” for Communion and “At the Cross”.  Today Pastor Billy returned to the pulpit and continued the “Indulgences” series with a message called “Arrogance” from Luke 19:28-48, the story of the Triumphal Entry.  Monthly prayer meeting was held after service. THREE people gave their hearts to God this morning! Go to the main menu and click WATCH late Sunday evening to view our preaching service and past messages.

Special Ops Prayer Meeting was Friday evening at the church. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of April for the next one. That particular one will focus on health, so bring friends who need God to heal their bodies.

Because of Easter, do NOT bring items for food pantry next Sunday.  Because we need the chair space for the holiday service, we will collect the following week. Remember, from now on, we are asked to double bag all items to avoid bag rips.

Pastor Billy’s Book of Acts online study is Tuesdays at 6:30 pm on his Face Book page.  “Worship Wednesday” videos are live at noon by him on Facebook, too. Tune in to hear a quick devotion and praise music. This week he played “It Is Well”.

Good Friday service is at the church at 7 pm on April 2.  This is traditionally one of our best attended services of the year. Please invite others and make plans to join us for music, worship, scripture, and Communion. You can help us by sharing Pastor’s invitation post on your FB page.

Happy Birthday to Kristen Hippenhammer on the 27th! Happy Birthday to the head of our security team, George Carroll! Kevin Chambers and Pastor Julian share an April 1st birthday! Mrs. Cornelius is celebrating this week, too, and we wish her joy and happiness from across the miles.

We hope to see all of you back for service 7 pm Friday and again on Easter morning to celebrate the Resurrection!  We expect a good crowd, so please be on time and in your seat for the first song!

Hi, everybody!  Thanks for checking out this page. Here’s what’s going on this week at Revolution:

Kudos to all who remembered to roll their clock ahead an hour for Daylight Savings Time.  Today Pastor Billy turned over the pulpit to Pastor Bob Smith who continued the February series, “Indulgences” with a message called “Eat, Drink & Be Merry” from Luke 12:16-21.  Worship songs were “Friend of God”, “How Can I Keep From Singing”, “Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here”, and “Take Me Back”.  You can go to the main menu and click WATCH late Sunday evening to view our preaching service and past messages.

We are serving coffee and cookies again! YAY! Come early and enjoy a treat before service or take one for the road. Coffee is not taken away until about 15 minutes after service. Thank you to our Hospitality volunteers who show up a bit early and stay a bit late to make this possible.  Wanna help?  They’d be happy to teach you the ropes.  Thanks to the mystery person who shared the fresh limes!

Graybars Project table offered sweet treats and an inspirational St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board as a tip o’ the cap to the Irish in the congregation and our community.  The weekly display was discontinued during 2020 covid closures and restrictions, so it was good to see it make a reappearance. We are once again able to sign birthday cards for our inmates there.

Concealed Carry class was taught yesterday at the church with near half our congregation attending. Qualifying at the range will be 8 am-4pm on Saturday, March 20.  Class is $100 plus $15-20 range fee. Payment is to be made to the instructor.  Certification is good in IL and FL. Bring your own sack lunch.

Good Friday service is at the church at 7 pm on April 2.  This is traditionally one of our best attended services of the year. Please invite others and make plans to join us.

Great news for the Nordsell family as their son was released from the hospital.  We pray for quick healing for Sean.

Levi Hippenhammer turned TWO!  It’s time for him to start sprouting his beard! Mr. Bob Brown has a St. Paddy’s Day birthday! Sending a birthday shout out to Cornelius who faithfully reads this column from across the miles! Happy Birthday to Linda Lee! (Speaking of Linda, we were delighted to see Durk and her walk in the door after months of his post-op recuperation!)

Visitors, it was great having you join us. Call on us during the week if you need us.  We hope to see all of you back for service at 10 am next Sunday.
